वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights auspicious association and timely participation in dhārmic communal life: Kṛṣṇa, the ‘lotus-eyed’ lord, arrives with a devoted companion to a public celebration. Ethically, it underscores harmony, shared rites, and the role of exemplary leaders in sustaining social and religious cohesion.
Vaiśampāyana tells the king that a grand festival is underway on Mount Raivataka near Dvārakā. At that time Kṛṣṇa, accompanied by Yuyudhāna/Sātyaki, arrives—after traversing varied terrain—entering the festive setting and marking a transition to events in Dvārakā.
