विशीर्णबन्धने तस्मिन् गते कृष्णाजिने महीम्
viśīrṇabandhane tasmin gate kṛṣṇājine mahīm, vidaśyāsthen valmīkaṁ viveśātha sa kuṇḍale |
বৈশম্পায়ন বললেন—বন্ধন ছিঁড়ে গেলে কৃষ্ণাজিনটি মাটিতে পড়ল। তখন এক সাপের দৃষ্টি তাতে পড়ল—সে ছিল ঐরাবত-কুলজাত তক্ষক। সে মৃগচর্মের ভিতরে রাখা মণিময় কুণ্ডলদ্বয় দেখে দ্রুত দাঁতে চেপে নিয়ে এক ঢিবি-গর্তে (বাঁবিতে) ঢুকে পড়ল।
