Transliteration

brahmovāca | rajo’ham vaḥ pravakṣyāmi yāthātathyena sattamāḥ | nibodhata mahābhāgā guṇavṛttaṃ ca rājasam ||

Translation

ব্রহ্মা বললেন—হে সদ্গুণসম্পন্ন শ্রেষ্ঠ ঋষিগণ! আমি এখন তোমাদের কাছে বাস্তব অনুযায়ী রজোগুণের স্বরূপ এবং তা থেকে উদ্ভূত গুণসমূহ বর্ণনা করব। হে মহাভাগ্যবানগণ, রজসিক আচরণ ও প্রবৃত্তি মনোযোগ দিয়ে শোনো।
