पापयोनिं समापतन्नाश्वाण्डाला मूकचूचुका: । वर्णान् पर्यायशश्षापि प्राप्रुवन्त्युत्तरोत्तरम्
pāpayoniṁ samāpatann āśvāṇḍālā mūkacūcukāḥ | varṇān paryāyaśaś cāpi prāpnuvanty uttarottaram ||
বায়ু বললেন—কিছুজন আবার পাপযোনিতে পতিত হয়; তারা চাণ্ডাল, মূক অথবা তোতলা হয়ে জন্মায়। তবু কর্মের অবশিষ্ট ফল ক্ষয় হলে এবং পুণ্যের পরিপাক ঘটলে, জন্ম-জন্মান্তরের ক্রমে তারা ক্রমশ উচ্চতর বর্ণও লাভ করতে পারে।
