भूयो भूयोजन्मनो5भ्यासयोगाद्‌ योगी योगं सारमार्ग विचिन्त्य । दानं च वेदाध्ययनं तपश्न काम्यानि कर्माणि च वैदिकानि

bhūyo bhūyo janmano 'bhyāsayogād yogī yogaṃ sāramārgaṃ vicintya | dānaṃ ca vedādhyayanaṃ tapaś ca kāmyāni karmāṇi ca vaidikāni ||

অসংখ্য জন্মের সাধনার ফলে যোগী বিচার করে যোগকেই মোক্ষের সারপথ স্থির করে এবং কামনাকে নিঃশেষ করে। এ কথা জেনে সে দান, বেদাধ্যয়ন, তপস্যা ও অন্যান্য বৈদিক কর্ম ফললালসায় করে না; কারণ ফলকামনাযুক্ত কর্ম সত্য ধর্ম নয়। প্রকৃতপক্ষে কামনানিগ্রহই ধর্ম, এবং সেটাই মোক্ষের মূল।

Yoga, understood as the disciplined path leading to liberation, is the essential means; actions done with desire for results (kāmya-karma) do not constitute true dharma. The real dharma is the restraint and dissolution of desire, which becomes the root of mokṣa.

Vāyu-deva is instructing the listener about the hierarchy of spiritual means: after many births of practice, the yogin recognizes yoga as the decisive liberating path and therefore does not treat charity, Vedic study, austerity, or Vedic rites as instruments for fulfilling personal desires.
