धृतराष्ट्रस्य वनप्रस्थानानुज्ञा | Permission for Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Forest-Retirement
भवन्तो>5प्यनुजानन्तु मा च वो5भूदू विचारणा
vaiśampāyana uvāca | ity uktās tena te sarve paurajānapadā janāḥ | nocur bāṣpakalāḥ kiñcid vīkṣāṃ cakruḥ parasparam ||
“আপনারাও আমাকে অনুমতি দিন; এ বিষয়ে আপনাদের মনে কোনো বিপরীত ভাবনা যেন না ওঠে। হে নিষ্পাপ জনগণ! আজ আমি গন্ধারীসহ আপনাদের সকলের কাছে ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা করছি।” এ কথা শুনে নগর ও জনপদের সকল মানুষ অশ্রুসিক্ত হয়ে পরস্পরের মুখের দিকে তাকিয়ে রইল; কেউ কোনো উত্তর দিল না।
