“इन्होंने रत्नमय पर्वतोंसे सुशोभित और प्रचुर दक्षिणासे सम्पन्न अनेक बड़े-बड़े यज्ञ किये हैं, पृथ्वीका राज्य भोगा है और प्रजाका भलीभाँति पालन किया है ।।
putrasaṁsthaṁ ca vipulaṁ rājyaṁ viproṣite tvayi | trayodaśa-samā bhuktaṁ datta ca vividhaṁ vasu ||
বৈশম্পায়ন বললেন—তিনি রত্নময় পর্বতে শোভিত ও বিপুল দক্ষিণাসম্পন্ন বহু মহাযজ্ঞ সম্পন্ন করেছেন; পৃথিবীর রাজ্য ভোগ করেছেন এবং প্রজাদের যথাযথ পালন করেছেন। আর তুমি দূরে থাকাকালে তোমার বংশে সুরক্ষিত এই বিস্তৃত রাজ্য তেরো বছর ধরে নিয়মমাফিক ভোগ ও শাসিত হয়েছে, এবং নানা প্রকার ধন দানও করা হয়েছে।
