The verse highlights śraddhā (trust) and the human need for assurance: Janamejaya links his complete acceptance of the narrated account to a direct, grace-given vision of his father. It reflects how faith often seeks confirmation through an authoritative, compassionate mediator (Vyāsa).
Janamejaya addresses the sage Vyāsa, requesting that Vyāsa show him his father in the same recognizable form, dress, and age. He says that if this is granted, he will fully believe everything that has been recounted to him.
