अश्रमवासिनां विषादः — Lament in Hastināpura after the Elders’ Forest Withdrawal

यन्मे समागमोउद्येह भवद्धिः सह साधुभि: । 'भगवन्‌! आज मैं धन्य हूँ, आपलोगोंकी कृपाका पात्र हूँ तथा मेरा यह जीवन भी सफल है; क्योंकि आज यहाँ आप-जैसे साधु-महात्माओंका समागम मुझे प्राप्त हुआ है

yān me samāgamo ’dyeha bhavadbhiḥ saha sādhubhiḥ | bhagavan, adya ahaṃ dhanyo ’smi, āpāṃ kṛpā-pātraṃ ca, tathā mama jīvitam api saphalaṃ; yato ’dya iha bhavat-sadṛśa-sādhu-mahātmānāṃ samāgamo me prāptaḥ ||

বৈশম্পায়ন বললেন—আজ আমি ধন্য, আপনাদের করুণার যোগ্য, এবং আমার জীবন সার্থক; কারণ আজ এখানে আপনাদের মতো সাধু-মহাত্মাদের সান্নিধ্য আমি লাভ করেছি।
