Adhyāya 16 — Daiva, Kṣatriya-dharma, and Public Reassurance to Dhṛtarāṣṭra
यूयमिन्द्रसमा: सर्वे देवतुल्यपराक्रमा: । मा परेषां मुखप्रेक्षा: स्थेत्येव॑ तत् कृतं मया,तुम सब लोग इन्द्रके समान शक्तिशाली और देवताओंके तुल्य पराक्रमी होकर जीविकाके लिये दूसरोंका मुँह न देखो, इसलिये मैंने वह सब किया था
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
yūyam indrasamāḥ sarve devatulyaparākramāḥ |
mā pareṣāṃ mukhaprekṣāḥ sthety eva tat kṛtaṃ mayā ||
বৈশম্পায়ন বললেন—তোমরা সকলেই ইন্দ্রসম শক্তিমান এবং দেবতুল্য পরাক্রমশালী। জীবিকার জন্য অন্যের মুখাপেক্ষী হয়ো না—এই কারণেই আমি তা করেছিলাম।
