ततो5शनिमुचो घोरांस्तडित्स्तनितनि:स्वनान् | तद्विघातार्थमसृजदर्जुनो 5प्यस्त्रमुत्तमम्
tato ’śanimuco ghorāṁs taḍit-stanita-niḥsvanān | tad-vighātārtham asṛjad arjuno ’py astram uttamam vāyavyam ||
তখন বিদ্যুৎঝলক ও বজ্রগর্জনে ভয়ংকর সেই মেঘগুলি পৃথিবীতে বজ্রপাত করতে লাগল। সেই আক্রমণ প্রতিহত করতে অস্ত্র-প্রতিস্ত্রবিদ্যায় নিপুণ অর্জুন মন্ত্রবলে অভিমন্ত্রিত করে উৎকৃষ্ট ‘বায়ব্য’ অস্ত্র প্রয়োগ করলেন; তাতে ইন্দ্রের বজ্র ও মেঘসমূহের তেজ ও বল বিনষ্ট হল।
