Boons after the Khāṇḍava Burning

The verse highlights that immense, uncontrolled power (symbolized by blazing fire) can disturb even the celestial realm; it implies an ethical caution that forces unleashed without restraint or right order (dharma) generate widespread fear and instability.
A fierce fire is described as flaring up so intensely that huge flames surge into the sky, and this extraordinary sight causes great alarm among the gods (divaukasaḥ), functioning as a dramatic portent within the ongoing episode.
