वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights niṣkampa-dharma—performing one’s prescribed duty (especially sacred rites) with steadiness and without doubt or fear. Such confident, sincere action is portrayed as ethically and spiritually efficacious, bringing divine approval (Agni’s satisfaction).
Vaiśaṃpāyana narrates that Arjuna (Dhanaṃjaya), son of Kuntī, performs the required fire-rite/oblations at that moment without hesitation. His offering pleases Agni (Hutāśana), indicating a favorable response from the deity to the rite.
