वसिष्ठ उवाच न त्वां त्यजामि कल्याणि स्थीयतां यदि शक्‍्यते । दृढेन दाम्ना बद्ध्वैष वत्सस्ते द्वियते बलात्‌,वसिष्ठजी बोले--कल्याणि! मैं तुम्हारा त्याग नहीं करता। तुम यदि रह सको तो यहीं रहो। यह तुम्हारा बछड़ा मजबूत रस्सीसे बाँधकर बलपूर्वक ले जाया जा रहा है

vasiṣṭha uvāca | na tvāṃ tyajāmi kalyāṇi sthīyatāṃ yadi śakyate | dṛḍhena dāmnā baddhvaiva vatsaḥ te dvyate balāt ||

বসিষ্ঠ বললেন—কল্যাণী! আমি তোমাকে ত্যাগ করি না। যদি পারো, এখানেই স্থির থাকো। তোমার বাছুরটিকে শক্ত দড়িতে বেঁধে বলপূর্বক টেনে নিয়ে যাওয়া হচ্ছে।
