गन्धर्व उवाच संयोगो वै प्रीतिकरो महत्सु प्रतिदृश्यते । जीवितस्य प्रदानेन प्रीतो विद्यां ददामि ते,गन्धर्व बोला--महापुरुषोंके साथ जो समागम होता है, वह प्रीतिको बढ़ानेवाला होता है--ऐसा देखनेमें आता है। आपने मुझे जीवनदान दिया है, इससे प्रसन्न होकर मैं आपको चाक्षुषी विद्या भेंट करता हूँ

Transliteration

gandharva uvāca saṃyogo vai prītikaro mahatsu pratidṛśyate | jīvitasya pradānena prīto vidyāṃ dadāmi te ||

Translation

গন্ধর্ব বলল—মহাপুরুষদের সঙ্গে সংযোগ যে প্রীতি বৃদ্ধি করে, তা দেখা যায়। তুমি আমাকে জীবনদান করেছ; তাতে প্রসন্ন হয়ে আমি তোমাকে ‘চাক্ষুষী বিদ্যা’ প্রদান করছি।
