ततस्ते पाण्डवा: सर्वे सह कुन्त्या नरर्षभा: । उपासांचक्रिरे विप्रं कथयन्तं कथा: शुभा:,वह ब्राह्मण बड़ी सुन्दर एवं कल्याणमयी कथाएँ कह रहा था, (अतः उन्हें सुननेके लिये) सभी नरश्रेष्ठ पाण्डव माता कुन्तीके साथ उसके निकट जा बैठे
tataste pāṇḍavāḥ sarve saha kuntyā nararṣabhāḥ | upāsāñcakrire vipraṃ kathayantaṃ kathāḥ śubhāḥ ||
তখন কুন্তীর সঙ্গে সেই সকল নরশ্রেষ্ঠ পাণ্ডবরা ব্রাহ্মণের নিকটে গিয়ে বসে পড়ল এবং তার মঙ্গলময় কাহিনি শ্রবণ করতে লাগল।
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic conduct through respectful attendance (upāsanā) and attentive listening to auspicious discourse from a learned brāhmaṇa—valuing wisdom, humility, and moral formation through wholesome narratives.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that the Pāṇḍavas, accompanied by their mother Kuntī, approach a brāhmaṇa who is telling auspicious stories and sit near him in respectful attendance to hear him.
