Hiḍimba’s Approach and Hiḍimbā’s Warning to Bhīmasena (हिडिम्बागमनम् / हिडिम्बा-भयवचनम्)
अनागतं हि बुध्येत यच्च कार्य पुर: स्थितम् । नतु बुद्धिक्षयात् किंचिदतिक्रामेत् प्रयोजनम्
anāgataṃ hi budhyeta yac ca kāryaṃ puraḥ sthitam | na tu buddhikṣayāt kiñcid atikrāmet prayojanam ||
যে কাজ ভবিষ্যতে আসবে, তা বুদ্ধি দিয়ে আগেই অনুধাবন করে তার উপযুক্ত ব্যবস্থা করুক; আর যে কর্তব্য সামনে উপস্থিত, তাও চিন্তা-ভাবনা করেই সম্পাদন করুক। বিচারশক্তি ক্ষীণ হয়ে কোনো প্রয়োজনীয় উদ্দেশ্য যেন হাতছাড়া না হয়।
