बभूव परमो हर्ष: शतशृड्शनिवासिनाम् | तथा देवनिकायानां सेन्द्राणां च दिवौकसाम्,कुन्तीने सौरीमेंसे ही यह अत्यन्त अद्भुत बात सुनी। उच्चस्वरमें उच्चारित वह आकाशवाणी सुनकर शतशुंगनिवासी तपस्वी मुनियों तथा विमानोंपर स्थित इन्द्र आदि देवसमूहोंको बड़ा हर्ष हुआ
babhūva paramo harṣaḥ śataśṛṅganivāsinām | tathā devanikāyānāṃ sendrāṇāṃ ca divaukasām |
বৈশম্পায়ন বললেন—শতশৃঙ্গ-নিবাসী তপস্বী মুনিদের মধ্যে পরম আনন্দ জাগল। তদ্রূপ স্বর্গে অবস্থানকারী ইন্দ্রসহ দেবগণও মহাহর্ষে পূর্ণ হলেন। সেই আশ্চর্য আকাশবাণী শুনে তারা এমন উল্লসিত হলেন, যেন বিশ্বধর্মেরই প্রতিষ্ঠা পুনরায় ঘোষিত হল।
