अनुक्रमणिकाध्यायः (Anukramaṇikā Adhyāya) — Invocation, Narrator Frame, and Textual Scope
तच्छलोककूटमद्यापि ग्रथितं सुदृढं मुने । भेत्तुं न शक््यते<र्थस्य गूढत्वात् प्रश्मनितस्थ च,मुनिवर! वे कूट श्लोक इतने गुँथे हुए और गम्भीरार्थक हैं कि आज भी उनका रहस्य- भेदन नहीं किया जा सकता; क्योंकि उनका अर्थ भी गूढ़ है और शब्द भी योगवृत्ति और रूढवृत्ति आदि रचनावैचित्रयके कारण गम्भीर हैं
tacchloka-kūṭam adyāpi grathitaṃ sudṛḍhaṃ mune | bhettuṃ na śakyate ’rthasya gūḍhatvāt praśamanitastha ca ||
হে মুনিশ্রেষ্ঠ! সেই কূট-শ্লোকসমূহ আজও অতি দৃঢ়ভাবে গাঁথা। অর্থের গূঢ়তার কারণে তার রহস্য ভেদ করা যায় না; শব্দরচনাও সূক্ষ্ম ও গভীর।
