Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: vira
Related Themes: Garuda Purana 3.3.32 (objection: ignorance cannot belong to omniscient Hari)
This verse states that śāstra-jñāna destroys avidyā (ignorance) and leads to aikya (unity) with Hari, presenting scripture-based knowledge as a direct means toward liberation.
Rather than focusing on external rites here, the verse emphasizes inner transformation: ignorance is removed by true knowledge, culminating in oneness with Vishnu—an explicitly moksha-oriented trajectory.
Study authoritative teachings with discernment (yukti), reduce ignorance-driven habits, and align daily conduct with dharma and devotion to the Divine as the basis for spiritual freedom.
