tasya coddharataḥ kṣauṇīṁ sva-daṁṣṭrāgreṇa līlayā daitya-rājasya ca brahman kasmād dhetor abhūn mṛdhaḥ

হে ব্রাহ্মণ! ভগবান বরাহ যখন নিজের দন্তাগ্রে লীলাক্রমে পৃথিবীকে তুলে ধরছিলেন, তখন দানবরাজের সঙ্গে তাঁর যুদ্ধের কারণ কী ছিল?
