निवेदितोऽथाङ्गिरसा सोमं निर्भर्त्स्य विश्वकृत् । तारां स्वभर्त्रे प्रायच्छदन्तर्वत्नीमवैत् पति: ॥ ८ ॥
nivedito ’thāṅgirasā somaṁ nirbhartsya viśva-kṛt tārāṁ sva-bhartre prāyacchad antarvatnīm avait patiḥ
অঙ্গিরা যখন সমগ্র ঘটনা সৃষ্টিকর্তা ব্রহ্মাকে জানালেন, তখন ব্রহ্মা সোম (চন্দ্রদেব)-কে কঠোরভাবে তিরস্কার করলেন। এরপর ব্রহ্মা তারাকে তার স্বামী বৃহস্পতির কাছে ফিরিয়ে দিলেন; তখন স্বামী বুঝতে পারলেন যে তিনি গর্ভবতী।
