श्रीराजोवाच कथमेवं गुणो देश: केन वा भगवन् कृत: । प्रश्नमेनं समाचक्ष्व परं कौतूहलं हि न: ॥ २८ ॥
śrī-rājovāca katham evaṁ guṇo deśaḥ kena vā bhagavan kṛtaḥ praśnam enaṁ samācakṣva paraṁ kautūhalaṁ hi naḥ
মহারাজ পরীক্ষিত বললেন—হে পরম শক্তিমান ব্রাহ্মণ! এই স্থানটি এমন গুণসম্পন্ন ও প্রভাবশালী কেন হল? কে একে এমন শক্তিময় করল? দয়া করে এই প্রশ্নের উত্তর দিন; শুনতে আমার গভীর কৌতূহল।
