पूजयित्वाभिभाष्यैनं कथयित्वा प्रिया: कथा: । विज्ञाताखिलचित्तज्ञ: स्मयमान उवाच ह ॥ ३५ ॥ ननु दानपते न्यस्तस्त्वय्यास्ते शतधन्वना । स्यमन्तको मनि: श्रीमान् विदित: पूर्वमेव न: ॥ ३६ ॥

শ্রীকৃষ্ণ অক্রূরকে সম্মান করে গোপনে কুশল জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন ও প্রিয় কথা বললেন। তারপর সর্বজ্ঞ প্রভু হাসিমুখে বললেন—“হে দানপতি! শতমধন্বা যে ঐশ্বর্যময় স্যমন্তক মণি তোমার কাছে গচ্ছিত রেখেছিল, তা নিশ্চয়ই এখনও তোমার কাছেই আছে; আমরা আগেই জানি।”
