Sukta 42
अंहोमुचं वृषभं यज्ञियानां विराजन्तं प्रथममध्वराणाम्। अपां नपातमश्विना हुवे धिय इन्द्रियेण त इन्द्रियं दत्तमोजः
aṃhómúcaṃ vr̥ṣabháṃ yajñíyānāṃ virā́jantaṃ prathamám adhvarā́ṇām | apā́ṃ napā́tam aśvínā huvè dhíya indriyéṇa te indriyáṃ dattám ójaḥ
The releaser from anguish, the Bull of the worshipful, shining, the first of sacrifices; the Child of the Waters—O Aśvins, him I invoke with prayers. By your vital power grant ye vital power—bestow might.
দুঃখ-বন্ধন মোচনকারী, যজ্ঞীয়দের বৃষভ, দীপ্তিমান, অধ্বর-যজ্ঞগুলির মধ্যে প্রথম—জলের পুত্র (আপাং নপাত্)—হে অশ্বিনৌ—তাঁকেই আমি ধী/প্রার্থনা দ্বারা আহ্বান করি। তোমাদের ইন্দ্রিয়-শক্তি দ্বারা আমাদের ইন্দ্রিয়-শক্তি দাও; ওজ/বল দান করো।
