Sukta 3
यथा यशः सोमपीथे मधुपर्के यथा यशः । एवा मे वरणो मणिः कीर्तिं भूतिं नि यच्छतु तेजसा मा समुक्षतु यशसा समनक्तु मा
yáthā yáśaḥ soma-pīthé madhu-párke yáthā yáśaḥ | evā́ me varuṇó maṇíḥ kīrtíṃ bhūtíṃ ní yacchatu téjasā mā sáṃ ukṣatu yáśasā sáṃ anaktu mā
As glory is at the Soma-drinking, as at the madhuparka (honour-feast) is glory, so may the Varuṇa-amulet for me fasten firm fame and thriving; with splendour may it bedew me, with glory may it anoint me.
যেমন সোমপানে যশ (প্রতিষ্ঠা) আছে, যেমন মধুপর্ক (সম্মান-ভোজ)-এ যশ আছে, তেমনই আমার জন্য বরুণের এই মণি (তাবিজ) কীর্তি ও সমৃদ্ধি দৃঢ়ভাবে স্থাপন করুক; তেজে আমাকে সিঞ্চিত করুক, যশে আমাকে অভিষিক্ত করুক।
