Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: nurturing
Offering: pushpa
It presents Shiva’s līlā within cosmic order: even the Supreme Lord participates in dharma, and divine events become occasions for devotion (prīti) and auspicious celebration that uplifts the worlds.
By portraying Shiva in a personal, narratable form (Saguna), the Purana supports bhakti—devotees approach the same Lord who is also worshipped as the Linga, the timeless sign of the Nirguna beyond form.
The verse implies utsava-bhakti: celebrate Shiva’s līlās through pūjā, kīrtana, and remembrance, repeating the Panchakshara mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” with joyful devotion.
