FAQs

It situates the narrative at the Vindhya mountain, showing how Purāṇic stories map divine activity onto real Indian landscapes, turning geography into a theater for sacred missions.

Yakṣas are semi-divine beings often linked with wealth, guardianship, and liminal spaces (forests/mountains). The verse identifies a Yakṣa named Pañcāla as belonging to Kubera’s following, implying service and delegated agency.

The verse emphasizes obedience to rightful instruction and purposeful action—undertaking a duty (surakārya) for a higher cause, supported by capable allies (like the Yakṣa attendant).
