Narada (narrating a tirtha-mahatmya account)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: karuna
It presents the Narada Purana’s tirtha-mahatmya principle: when austerity (tapas) is joined with sacred bathing (tirtha-snana) and proper worship (arcana), the desired spiritual and worldly fruits are said to manifest.
Bhakti is shown through “samabhyarcya”—reverent worship. The verse frames devotion as disciplined and procedural: devotion expressed through worship at a sanctified place, supported by tapas and purity (snana).
It reflects Kalpa (ritual procedure) in practice—tirtha-snana followed by prescribed worship (arcana). The emphasis is on doing rites “samyak” (correctly), aligning with Vedic ritual precision.
