Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
This is a colophon verse that sanctifies and seals the teaching-unit, identifying the Kurukṣetra Māhātmya chapter and its topic—defining the sacred field’s extent—so readers know the precise scope of the dharmic guidance being transmitted.
Indirectly: by framing Kurukṣetra as a revered tīrtha and specifying the chapter’s focus, it supports bhakti through tīrtha-smaraṇa (remembering holy places) and regulated pilgrimage practice, which Purāṇas present as devotion expressed through sacred geography.
It points to pramāṇa-nirūpaṇa (measurement/definition) of a kṣetra—practical sacred-topography used for correct tīrtha observance; while not a direct Vedāṅga lesson, it aligns with applied ritual correctness (proper place-boundaries for rites and vows).
