*देवयान्युवाच पाणिग्रहो नाहुषायं न पुंभिः सेवितः पुरा त्वं पाणिमग्रहीदग्रे वृणोमि त्वामहं ततः //

দেৱযানীয়ে ক’লে—নহুষৰ বাবে পূৰ্বে পুৰুষসকলে পাণিগ্ৰহণ-সংস্কাৰ পালন কৰা নাছিল। কিন্তু তুমিয়েই প্ৰথমে মোৰ হাত গ্ৰহণ কৰিছিলা; সেয়ে মই তোমাকেই বৰণ কৰোঁ।
