Educational Q&A

The verse highlights how dharmic resolve, supported by disciplined strength and auspicious divine association (Hanūmān on the banner), can break the morale of an unrighteous force. Ethical legitimacy and inner steadiness often manifest outwardly as confidence that intimidates opponents.

As Arjuna reveals his prowess in the Virāṭa episode, the combined brilliance of his weapons, the bow’s thunderous twang, and the terrifying cries associated with the banner—especially Hanūmān’s roar—create panic in Duryodhana’s troops.
