अयं तपस्वी भगवान् स्वाध्यायनियतो द्विज: । यद् यद् ब्रूयान्महातेजास्तत्तद् देयममत्सरात्,'ये विप्रवर महातेजस्वी, तपस्वी, ऐश्वर्यशशाली तथा नियमपूर्वक वेदोंके स्वाध्यायमें संलग्न रहनेवाले हैं। ये जिस-जिस वस्तुके लिये कहें, वह सब इन्हें ईर्ष्यारहित हो श्रद्धाके साथ देना
ayaṁ tapasvī bhagavān svādhyāya-niyato dvijaḥ | yad yad brūyān mahātejās tat tad deyam amatsarāt ||
বৈশম্পায়নে ক’লে—এই পূজনীয় দ্বিজ তপস্বী আৰু বেদ-স্বাধ্যায়ৰ নিয়মত স্থিত। এই মহাতেজস্বী যি-যি বিচাৰে, সেই-সেই বস্তু ঈৰ্ষ্যাহীন, শুদ্ধ মনৰে দিয়া উচিত।
