This line is a colophon, not a doctrinal verse: it teaches by implication the importance of careful textual organization—marking the end of a chapter and locating it within the larger ethical narrative of Draupadī’s ordeal.
The text is concluding a chapter within the Vana Parva, specifically within the sub-section dealing with Draupadī’s abduction, and notes that the preceding portion is framed as Draupadī’s speech.
