अथोत्द्ुष्टं तदा हृष्टे: सर्वेर्देवेरदायुधै:
athotduṣṭaṃ tadā hṛṣṭaiḥ sarvair devair adāyudhaiḥ
তেতিয়া আনন্দিত হৈ সকলো দেৱতাই অস্ত্ৰ ধৰি সেই দুষ্টৰ বিৰুদ্ধে যুদ্ধত নামিল।
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
Adharma provokes a corrective response: when wrongdoing becomes extreme, the protectors of order unite decisively. The verse frames ethical governance as active—righteous forces do not remain passive in the face of destructive wickedness.
Mārkaṇḍeya describes a moment when the gods, filled with resolve and even exhilaration, arm themselves to confront a profoundly wicked adversary, signaling an impending divine action against that threat.
