Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the exceptional spiritual insight of a brahmarṣi: while cosmic cycles of dissolution and re-creation occur under Brahmā, the sage’s direct vision (pratyakṣa-like seeing) allows him to witness beings at the very moment of manifestation, emphasizing the power of tapas and realized knowledge.

Vaiśampāyana describes a cosmic transition: after pralaya, when Brahmā awakens to begin creation again, the addressed sage alone is said to perceive the newly created beings as they arise.
