एतत्‌ प्रत्यक्षत: सर्व पूर्व वृत्तं द्विजोत्तम । तस्मादिच्छाम्यहं श्रोतुं सर्वहेत्वात्मिकां कथाम्‌

Transliteration

etat pratyakṣataḥ sarvaṃ pūrva-vṛttaṃ dvijottama | tasmād icchāmy ahaṃ śrotuṃ sarva-hetv-ātmikāṃ kathām ||

Translation

হে দ্বিজোত্তম! এই সমগ্ৰ প্ৰাচীন বৃত্তান্ত আপোনাৰ প্ৰত্যক্ষ অভিজ্ঞতাৰে বিদিত। সেয়ে মই আপোনাৰ মুখৰ পৰা সেই কাহিনী শুনিব বিচাৰোঁ, যিয়ে সকলো ঘটনাৰ অন্তৰ্নিহিত কাৰণ—কাল আৰু পৰিস্থিতি—ব্যাখ্যা কৰে।
