Educational Q&A

The verse highlights humility and devotion: the speaker claims no self-driven agenda and attributes action to the lord’s will, then expresses a sincere desire to know the blameless, supreme divine—framing spiritual inquiry as reverent and ethically grounded.

A narrator-voice (Vaiśaṃpāyana) reports a devotee’s address to a powerful, lotus-eyed deity: the speaker has come forth at the deity’s prompting and now requests true knowledge/recognition of that divine being, praised as faultless and supreme.
