Kubera-prasāda-vihāra and Counsel on Ajñātavāsa
arjuna uvāca | na hayānāṁ kṣatiḥ kācin na rathasya na mātaleḥ | mama cādṛśyata tadā tad adbhutam ivābhavat ||
Even amid warfare’s chaos, Arjuna recognizes an unexpected safeguarding of life and equipment; the verse highlights attentive moral perception—seeing restraint, protection, or higher ordering where destruction would normally be expected.
Arjuna reports that during a particular battle encounter, neither his horses nor chariot suffered damage, Mātali was not hurt, and Arjuna himself bore no visible injury—an outcome he describes as astonishing.
