यत्र स्नात्वा नरश्रेष्ठ धूतपाप्मा भविष्यसि । इह सारस्वतैयय॑ज्ञैरिष्टवन्त: सुरर्षय: । ऋषयश्नैव कौन्तेय तथा राजर्षयोडपि च
yatra snātvā naraśreṣṭha dhūtapāpmā bhaviṣyasi | iha sārasvatair yajñair iṣṭavantaḥ surarṣayaḥ | ṛṣayaś caiva kaunteya tathā rājarṣayo 'pi ca ||
হে নৰশ্ৰেষ্ঠ! সেই স্থানত স্নান কৰিলে তুমি পাপমুক্ত হ’বা। ইয়াত সাৰস্বত পৰম্পৰাৰ যজ্ঞে দেৱৰ্ষিসকলে ইষ্টি সম্পন্ন কৰিছে; আৰু হে কৌন্তেয়, তেনেদৰে ঋষিসকল আৰু ৰাজৰ্ষিসকলেও কৰিছে।
लोगश उवाच
The verse emphasizes the dharmic idea that sacred places (tīrthas) and disciplined rites like bathing and sacrifice can support inner purification; it also grounds the place’s authority in the precedent of revered sages and royal seers who practiced there.
A speaker (Logaśa) points out a particular sacred location to the addressed Pāṇḍava (Kaunteya), praising it as a place where bathing removes sin and where divine seers, sages, and royal seers have performed Sarasvatī-associated sacrifices—thereby encouraging pilgrimage and observance.
