तत: शक्रो महातेजास्तं दिदृक्षुरुपागमत् । ततो देवा महेन्द्र तमपृच्छन् धास्यततीति किम्,तत्पश्चात् महातेजस्वी इन्द्र उस बालकको देखनेके लिये वहाँ आये। उस समय देवताओंने महेन्द्रसे पूछा--यह बालक क्या पीयेगा?
tataḥ śakro mahātejās taṃ didṛkṣur upāgamat | tato devā mahendraṃ tam apṛcchan dhāsyatātīti kim |
তাৰ পিছত মহাতেজস্বী শক্র (ইন্দ্ৰ) সেই শিশুটিক চাবলৈ ইচ্ছা কৰি তাত আহিল। তাৰ পাছত দেৱসকলে মহেন্দ্ৰক সুধিলে—“এই শিশু কি পান কৰিব?”
