तदहं भ्रातृसहित: सर्वान् विज्ञापयामि व: | नान्यथा तद्धि कर्तव्यमस्मत्स्नेहानुकम्पया,भाइयोंसहित मैं आप सब लोगोंसे कुछ निवेदन करता हूँ। आपलोग हमपर स्नेह और कृपा करके उसके पालनसे मुख न मोड़ें
tad ahaṁ bhrātṛ-sahitaḥ sarvān vijñāpayāmi vaḥ | nānyathā tad dhi kartavyam asmat-snehānukampayā ||
সেয়েহে মই ভ্ৰাতৃসহ আপোনালোক সকলোকে বিনীত নিবেদন কৰিছোঁ—আমালৈ স্নেহ আৰু অনুকম্পা ৰাখি, যিদৰে কোৱা হৈছে ঠিক তেনেদৰেই তাক পালন কৰিব; অন্যথা কৰা উচিত নহয়।
युधिछिर उवाच
The verse frames ethical persuasion: a request should be made respectfully, grounded in dharma (what must be done), and supported by mutual affection and compassion—urging the listeners to uphold a rightful course without deviation.
Yudhiṣṭhira, speaking on behalf of himself and his brothers, formally petitions the people he is addressing. He asks them to carry out a specific duty exactly as intended, appealing to their goodwill toward the Pāṇḍavas.
