दुर्योधनस्तु तत् सैन्यं सर्वमावरयत् तदा । सहस्राणां सहस्र॑ तु योधानां प्राप्प भारत
duryodhanas tu tat sainyaṁ sarvam āvarayat tadā | sahasrāṇāṁ sahasraṁ tu yodhānāṁ prāpya bhārata janamejaya |
বৈশম্পায়নে ক’লে—তেতিয়া দুৰ্যোধনে সেই সমগ্ৰ সেনাবাহিনী নিজৰ অধীনত আনিলে। হে ভাৰত, হে জনমেজয়! সহস্ৰ সহস্ৰ যোদ্ধা লাভ কৰি আৰু শ্ৰীকৃষ্ণক নিজে ঠগিলে বুলি ভাবি সি পৰম আনন্দিত হ’ল। তাৰ যুদ্ধবল ভয়ংকৰ যেন লাগিল; ধৰ্মবলে নহয়, কেৱল সেনাসঞ্চয়ৰ মদতে সি নিজৰ পক্ষ দৃঢ় কৰিলে।
