अनसूयु: कृतप्रज्ञ: शोभनान्याचरन् सदा । न कृच्छूं महदाप्रोति सर्वत्र च विरोचते
an-asūyuḥ kṛta-prajñaḥ śobhanāny ācaran sadā | na kṛcchraṁ mahad āpnoti sarvatra ca virocate ||
যি ব্যক্তি দোষদৃষ্টি-ৰহিত, স্থিৰবুদ্ধি আৰু সদায় শুভ আচৰণত ৰত—সেইজন মহাদুঃখত নপৰে; সি সৰ্বত্ৰ দীপ্তিমান হৈ সন্মান লাভ কৰে।
विदुर उवाच
Freedom from envy, steadiness of judgment, and consistent noble conduct protect a person from severe hardship and make them respected in all settings.
In the Udyoga Parva, Vidura offers moral and political counsel; here he highlights personal virtues—non-envy and steadfast wisdom—as the foundation for well-being and social honor amid the tensions leading to war.
