भीष्मस्वप्न-स्मृत्युपाख्यानम् | Bhīṣma’s Dream-Linked Recollection of the Paraśurāma Combat
ततो<ब्रवीत् सागरगा जिह्दां चरसि भाविनि । नैष कामो5नवलद्याड़ि शक््य: प्राप्तुं त्वयाबले
tato 'bravīt sāgaragā jihvāṃ ca rasi bhāvini | naiṣa kāmo 'navaladyāḍi śakyaḥ prāptuṃ tvayābale ||
তেতিয়া ৰামে ক’লে— “হে সাগৰত বিচৰণকাৰিণী, হে ভাবিনী! তোমাৰ জিভা চঞ্চল হৈ ঘূৰি ফুৰে। কিন্তু এই কামনা পূৰ্ণ নহ’ব; হে দুৰ্বলা, তোমাৰ পক্ষে তাক লাভ কৰা সম্ভৱ নহয়।”
राम उवाच
Desire must be measured against reality and capacity; ethical restraint means recognizing what cannot or should not be pursued and curbing impulsive craving.
