Bhīṣma’s Dream-Counsel and the Prasvāpa Astra (भीष्मस्वप्नदर्शनम् / प्रस्वापास्त्रोपदेशः)
न त्वहं विनिवर्तिष्ये युद्धादस्मात् कथंचन । “आजसे पहले भी मैं कभी किसी युद्धसे पीछे नहीं हटा हूँ। अतः: पितामहो! आपलोग अपनी इच्छाके अनुसार पहले गंगानन्दन भीष्मको ही युद्धसे निवृत्त कीजिये। मैं किसी प्रकार पहले स्वयं ही इस युद्धसे पीछे नहीं हटूँगा”
na tv ahaṁ vinivartiṣye yuddhād asmāt kathaṁcana |
মই এই যুদ্ধৰ পৰা কোনো পৰিস্থিতিতেই পিছু হটিম নোৱাৰোঁ। আগতে মই কেতিয়াও যুদ্ধৰ পৰা পিঠি দিয়া নাই; সেয়ে এতিয়াও মই নিজে প্ৰথমে আঁতৰি নাযাম। যদি পিতামহসকলে মোক যুদ্ধৰ পৰা আঁতৰাব খোজে, তেন্তে তেওঁলোকৰ ইচ্ছা অনুসাৰে প্ৰথমে গঙ্গানন্দন ভীষ্মকেই যুদ্ধৰ পৰা নিবৃত্ত কৰক; মই স্বেচ্ছাৰে ৰণক্ষেত্ৰ ত্যাগ নকৰোঁ।
