Bhishma’s account of the encounter with Rāma Jāmadagnya
तान्यहं तत्प्रतीघातैरस्त्रैरस्त्राणि भारत । व्यधमं तुमुले युद्धे प्राणांस्त्यक्त्वा सुदुस्त्यजान्
tāny ahaṃ tatpratīghātair astrair astrāṇi bhārata | vyadhamaṃ tumule yuddhe prāṇāṃs tyaktvā sudustyajān ||
হে ভাৰত! সেই তুমুল যুদ্ধত ত্যাগ কৰিবলৈ দুষ্কৰ মোৰ প্ৰাণৰো পৰোয়া নকৰি, প্ৰতিঘাতক অস্ত্ৰেৰে মই তেওঁলোকৰ অস্ত্ৰসমূহ অস্ত্ৰেৰে ধ্বংস কৰি পেলালোঁ।
