Amba’s Disclosure of Prior Choice (Śālva) and Appeal to Bhīṣma — Chapter 171

वासुदेवं च पार्थ च चक्रगाण्डीवधारिणौ । संध्यागताविवार्केन्दू समेष्येते रथोत्तमौ,वसुदेवनन्दन श्रीकृष्ण और अर्जुन रथियोंमें श्रेष्ठ हैं। वे क्रमश: सुदर्शनचक्र और गाण्डीवधनुष धारण करते हैं। वे संध्याकालीन सूर्य और चन्द्रमाकी भाँति परस्पर मिलकर जब युद्धमें पधारेंगे, उस समय मैं उनका सामना करूँगा

vāsudevaṃ ca pārthaṃ ca cakragāṇḍīvadhāriṇau | saṃdhyāgatāv ivārkendū sameṣyete rathottamau ||

ভীষ্মে ক’লে—বাসুদেৱ আৰু পাৰ্থ—দুয়ো ৰথীসকলৰ মাজত শ্ৰেষ্ঠ—এজন সुदৰ্শনচক্ৰ, আনজন গাণ্ডীৱ ধনু ধাৰণ কৰে। সন্ধ্যাকালত সূৰ্য-চন্দ্ৰ যেন একেলগে দেখা যায়, তেনেদৰে তেওঁলোক দুয়ো যেতিয়া যুদ্ধলৈ একত্ৰ হৈ আহিব, তেতিয়া মই তেওঁলোকৰ সন্মুখীন হ’ম।
