जानासि मे जीवपुत्रि भावं नित्यमविग्रहे । क्रोशतो न च गृह्नीते वचनं मे सुयोधन:,“'चिरंजीवी पुत्रोंको जन्म देनेवाली देवि! तुम तो जानती ही हो कि मेरी इच्छा सदासे यही रही है कि कौरवों और पाण्डवोंमें युद्ध न हो। इसके लिये मैं पुकार-पुकारकर कहता रह गया; परंतु दुर्योधन मेरी बात मानता ही नहीं है

janāsi me jīvaputri bhāvaṃ nityam avigrahe |
krośato na ca gṛhṇīte vacanaṃ me suyodhanaḥ ||
হে জীৱিত পুত্ৰৱতী দেৱী! তুমি জানো, মোৰ স্থিৰ ভাব সদায় অবিগ্ৰহ—যেন যুদ্ধ নহয়। মই চিঞৰি চিঞৰি ক’লোঁ, তথাপি সুয়োধন মোৰ কথা গ্ৰহণ নকৰে।
