एवमुक्ता तु सा देवी बाष्पमुत्सूज्य सस्वनम् । उवाच रुदती दीना बृहस्पतिमिदं वच:,देवताओंके यह बात कहनेपर शची देवी आँसू बहाती हुई फूट-फ़ूटकर रोने लगीं और दीन-भावसे बृहस्पतिजीको सम्बोधित करके इस प्रकार बोलीं--
evamuktā tu sā devī bāṣpam utsṛjya sasvanam | uvāca rudatī dīnā bṛhaspatim idaṁ vacaḥ ||
দেৱতাসকলে এনেদৰে কোৱাত দেৱী শচী সশব্দে অশ্ৰু ঝৰাবলৈ ধৰিলে। দীনভাৱে কান্দি কান্দি তেওঁ বৃহস্পতিলৈ এই বাক্য ক’লে।
